AP CSP Explore task: images from the internet

I have an issue with students using images from the web.  I want student work to see more tailored by tracing over existing images and then doing some drawing over the top.  I am coaching them to import images and then add to an infographic with research and statistical information.  I would like them to instead trace the basic image in illustrator instead of using a stock  image from google.  What do readers or other teachers think?

Have you considered teaching students how to use the online Pixlr editor?

https://pixlr.com/

Students can use this tool to annotate images with text and other affects. You will need to enable Flash so make sure that your browser supports it!

Perhaps you want to use a Chrome of Firefox screen capture plug in. I use a few. https://blog.awesomescreenshot.com/2019/04/29/awesome-screenshot-4-0/

With the image captured, you can annotate and then save.
