SUMMER PD: NATIONAL SUMMER TEACHER INSTITUTE ON INNOVATION, STEM AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Check out this great opportunity for teachers to attend the USPTO’s National Summer Teacher Institute!

More than 50 elementary, middle, and high school teachers from around the U.S. will come together July 29–August 3 in Tampa, Florida, to participate in the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s fifth annual National Summer Teacher Institute on Innovation, STEM and Intellectual Property. Offered in collaboration with the University of South Florida, the program combines training and team-based projects to increase teacher knowledge of making, inventing, and innovation. The primary focus of NSTI is on the creation and protection of intellectual property.

Join the USPTO to discover how innovators invent new things, improve upon old ones, and apply science practices and the engineering design process to create property that may have commercial value and is protectable under patent, trademark, copyright, or trade secret laws.
