E-Textiles Unit

I'm about to start the E-Textiles unit for Exploring Computer Science in the next couple of weeks.  This is the curriculum I used to replace the Robotics unit since my school did not have access to robots at the time. I learned so much and my students were very engaged throughout.  On February 20th, I will be a part of the E-Textiles webinar on the CS for All Teachers website.  I am looking forward to sharing some of the experiences that my students and I went through the first time I facilitated this curriculum.  Please join us to find out what this unit is all about and to find answers to any questions you might have.

I can't wait for the Webinar and to hear how the E-Textile unit is working for you!

I had not thought of E-Textiles being more affordable than robots. It makes sense and it is good that there is an alternative to robotics.

I am pleased by the inclusion of E-Textiles because new media artists have been using these techniques and approaches for a awhile. I feel so strongly that bringing in other applications for CS will bring in all kinds of thinkers.
